Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium is additional funding for publically funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between themselves and their peers.

At Trenode Primary Academy we ensure that barriers to learning are identified for all pupils entitled to the Pupil Premium, and to use the relevant funding to diminish differences between the attendance, well-being and learning outcomes for this group of pupils and their peers. Wherever appropriate we will ensure that the funding also has impact on those pupils not classified as Pupil Premium.

We adopt strategies that will support pupils in their learning and ensure that they have access to the resources, challenge and support that they need to make progress. We are proud to be an inclusive school and this inclusivity is evident within our strategy and in in our everyday practice.

In addition to strategies which support progress academically, we also focus funding on broadening experiences and raising aspirations.

We are grateful to those parents and carers who apply for Pupil Premium funding, as we are aware of the difference this funding makes to the best possible outcomes for all.
